Electric Showers

Electric showers

Electric showers only take water from the mains cold water supply and they are economical, quick and easy to install. The water is heated as it passes through the shower providing instant hot water at any time. Electric showers are economical as you heat only the water you need, and they're the only type of shower that's independent of the hot water system, so if your boiler fails you can still have a hot shower.

Electric showers can be installed into homes where there is not a stored hot water supply and such flexibility means that they can be fitted into most domestic situations. Electric showers have built in pumps that store low pressure water, and instantaneously heat the cold water only supply with an electric element.

The electric shower also provides the ability to walk into the shower time and again using exactly the same pre-set temperature. A electric shower will normally be fitted above a existing bath, you must ensure that the bath is sealed correctly or you will soon have water in the rooms below. An electric shower must have its own separate radial circuit run from a spare fuseway at the fusebox. The vast majority of electric showers are designed to be used with mains water pressure, but there are one or two models available that will work with low pressure water as supplied by a cold water storage tank. Mira Electric Showers are industry leaders with unbeatable quality and price.
