Fitting instructions for the Aquaflo Series 4 Mono Basin Mixer (Complete With Pop Up Waste)

Mono Basin Mixer

Prior to installation, please check that your plumbing system is adequate and that all pipes have been flushed through.

1. Turn of mains water supply. The mains stopcock is usually found where the supply enters the building.

2. We also recommend that any water heating systems be turned off.

3. Drain the hot and cold water systems. To ensure complete drainage, open all taps.

4. Using the fixing nuts supplied, screw the short threaded rod into the central hole on the underneath of the spout. Next, screw the flexi-tails into each of the other holes (ensure these are screwed in firmly). Position the tap over the hole ensuring the threaded rod is fully through the sink hole. Place the rubber bracket gasket over the threaded rod along with the brass bracket and locking nut and tighten up. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

5. To install the POP UP WASTER ASSEMBLY unscrew the well from the assembly. Place the well into the sink hole. A thin bead silicone gel in normally used to bed the well in and to form a watertight seal. Underneath the sink, screw the remaining part of the assembly to the well. (The horizontal rod can be removed to aid this procedure). If the horizontal rod has been removed this now needs to be replaced. If the pop up rod is of the two piece type, insert the top piece through the hole in the back of the tap body and screw the bottom piece to the top piece underneath the sink. If the rod is of the one piece type, the whole rod is inserted through the tap body from the top. The two rods are linked together via the pop up rod linkage.

6. Connection to the water supply is achieved using flexible tap connectors.

PLEASE NOTE:

To comply with water regulations, isolating valves should be fitted in the pipework beneath the mixer. This enables eash supply to be independently isolated which makes it easier to service and or remove the mixer.

7. Once all the connections are made, the mains water supply can be turned back on and the system refilled. Now check for any leaks. At this stage it is recommended that the whole system be flushed to remove and foreign matter, also check the seating is free from swart, as this will interfere with the water seal between the valve and the seating.

All the water heating systems may now be turned on.
